Spent 12 years in local government, mainly as Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive of the former Ceredigion District Council. Outside work, she administered a community translation/interpreting service. A freelance translator and interpreter, specializing in translation from Welsh to English, since 1991, she was one of the first Welsh translators to use translation memory software. She and her husband, Dr Bruce Griffiths, teach a weekly class in various aspects of translation.

He was Film, Broadcasting and Television Policy Officer for the Assembly Government and is currently Chief Legal Translator within the Assembly's Translation Service.

He began his career in translation with the Employment Tribunals Service. He was previously at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council's Translation Unit. A translator with the Welsh Local Government Association since 2002.

Formerly a lecturer in Welsh and Sociolinguistics at the University of Wales, Swansea for 3 years on completion of a PhD in dialectology.
A career change in 1999 led her to Carmarthenshire County Council as a Senior Translator, where she stayed for 2 years before becoming head of the City and County of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council Translation Unit, based at St Helen's Welsh Centre, Swansea . She also undertakes freelance translation work.

Director North Wales Welsh for Adults Centre

He started his career in local government in Ynys Môn as a Trainee Translator and then as a qualified Translator, before moving to an administrative role, specialising in language policy. After 14 years with the County Council, he moved to Cardiff University to take up a post with responsibility for its Welsh Language Scheme, before changing direction to manage the University's Welsh for Adults Centre. In 2006, he was appointed as the Director for the North Wales Welsh for Adults Centre at Bangor University; one of the 6 new regional centres in Wales.

Welsh Teacher at a bilingual secondary school for over 20 years, then a translator for the 4 bilingual secondary schools in Clwyd. Was a member of the Welsh NFER team preparing KS2 Welsh medium SATs for several years before being appointed Welsh Language Officer and Principal Translator for the North Wales Health Authority. Has been a self-employed translator for the past 3 years.

Lecturer and then Official Translator at Coleg Ceredigion 1977-88 and concurrently chief Communication examiner for the WJEC and RSA. Has recently retired after 16 years as Editor/Project Manager at the Education Studies Centre, University of Wales Aberystwyth. has been involved in translating for over 35 years.

On graduating from the University College of North Wales Bangor in 1971, she worked as a Welsh language teacher before becoming a translator, working first for Gwynedd County Council and then for her old college. She was Head of the Translation Unit for 12 years, during which period she also acted as Assistant Registrar with responsibility for Welsh student recruitment and the development of bilingual education. She then worked freelance, combining her work with a part-time post as the Organizer of Welsh Courses at Ty Newydd Creative Writing Centre. Later she returned to the University of Wales Bangor to develop and run both internal and external language courses for Canolfan Bedwyr, a translation course for the Welsh departments at Aberystwyth and Bangor and a simultaneous translation course for the Department of Lifelong Learning at Bangor . In 1997 she was appointed this Association's first part-time Administrative Officer and was its Chief Executive until leaving the Association at the end of March 2007
